Arson is a skate/snow/street brand that is based here in Vancouver. Over the past couple years we've been working with them on photography for their catalogs including this Fall/Winter 2008 Outwear and Streetwear lookbook. The photoshoot was a blast and the clothes looked great. We shot one day in a shut down highschool and the next day we took the schoolbus to the top of the local ski and snowboard resort.
Here's what Arson's streetwear designer designer Karen Morgan had to say about the shoot.
"I have worked with Kris on our past 4 Arson photoshoots in the capacity of both styling and directing, and each time it is has been a pleasure. His enthusiasm is infectious. He provides a collaborative spirit, intense focus and a tireless desire to get the right shot. Our
last shoot, in a highschool, was overbooked for sure; 11 locations with 2 models and we were trying for 12 shots- it was more than a full day. With no assistants, Kris rose to the challenge and produced some of his best work yet. We got more than enough shots and had a great time
doing it. We have now cultivated a relationship with Kris where he knows what we expect. He delivers consistently photos that evoke our brand’s personality, and put our clothing in the best possible light. Can’t wait to work with him on the next one!"
We had hot chocolate (spiked with Bailey's *blush*), soup, snowball fights, and ended up with some awesome shots. Check out the rest of the photos over at Flickr. Recently the Arson team added Kris Krug to their 'Arsonist' team and posted an interview with him on their website.
Lifestyle photography for catalogs and lookbooks is some of our favorite projects to work on. If you working on something like this and looking for the right photography team pls drop us a line and see if we'd be a good fit! :)
