You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em. Know when to walk away and know when to run.

This past year has been a really great experience for Static Photography. In the past twelve months there has been many trips, many photos and many events. Our photographer Kris Krüg and our studio manager Danielle Sipple have travelled all over the world, to Shanghai shooting photos for the book Chinameme Vol. 1 Shanghai, China with Christine Lu, to Austin, TX covering SXSW 2009 , to NYC shooting NYFW 2009, to Copenhagen, Denmark shooting photos during the United Nations Climate Change Conference  and to Camden, ME shooting Pop!Tech 2009 to name just a few.

There have also been plenty of Vancouver events to keep the studio busy as well, including a Kdon fashion show, the Vancouver Biennale launchphoto walks at the Purple Thistle, and a photo shoot with Bangtown Saloon. Static Photography has also been lucky enough to cover some awesome live concerts such as Matisyahu, the Blazed and Confused tour with Snoop Dogg and Band of Horses. There has not been a single week that has passed by in 2009 without Kris firing off his camera.

Drew Olanoff - Gnomedex 2009

In 2009 alone, Kris Krüg published over 9,000 photos on his Flickr photostream. They have been used in videos, blog posts, newspapers and magazines around the world. 2009 has been a year of full life, full experience and very full hard drives. :)

The best way to show 2009 is in a list of the twelve best photos that Kris has taken this year.
