SXSW Interactive 2011 - Austin, TX

When March rolls around you know that spring has sprung and the annual gathering of geeks is in full swing at the Interactive portion of the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, TX. Spread out over five days of panels, parties and networking, SXSW is the equivalent of geek heaven and geek spring break squished into on power-packed week. One respite of this crazy event is when there are small havens of quietness, power outlets and awesome smaller events which was the main goal of the Techset Hosted Samsung Blogger Lounge. Static Photography photographer Kris Krüg had a chance to kickback, recharge and spend some quality time geeking out in the lounge with his camera.

Samsung created a small geek haven on the fourth floor of the Austin Convention Center during the Interactive section of the SXSW Festival. The lounge was a spacious resting space with plenty of tables, chairs and power outlets. Lining the walls were big screens that allowed for moments of game play if that was your taste. Small personal-style events were spread out during the days of the lounge that included interviews, acoustic performances and book signings. With free coffee in the morning and free afternoon gadget giveaways, the Samsung Blogger Lounge was definitely the place to rest and recharge during SXSWi 2011.

Here are some highlights from the Samsung Blogger Lounge during SXSW Interactive 2011! Next year come by and plug in for a moment. :)

One of the rules of SXSW Interactive is ABC: always be charging. Many samsung devices were plugged in all over the lounge, getting charged up for long days at SXSW.
