Northern Voice, a internet and social media confernce, kicks off today in Vancouver. Again this year I'll be leading a PhotoCamp on Friday at the MooseCamp part of Northern Voice. I'm excited to have a bunch of new speakers lined up this year including Fiona Garden, Matt Trent , Miranda Lievers , Reilly Lievers , Tim Bray and Duane Storey .
In addition to PhotoCamp I'll also be giving a 'philosophy of photography' presentation on Saturday at Northern Voice with esteemed colleague Alex Waterhouse-Hayward. The title of the talk is "The Other Side of Two Dimensions" and it's about remembering/learning to think in terms of three dimensions in photography as we embark into the digital age where all photographic works are viewed in the two dimensional world - on screens.
It's going to be a great weekend of photogeekery. I hope to see lots of you out there. :)
