So this week has been full of exciting news for Static Photography! We got the confirmation that we are going to Shanghai, China June 11-22 to work on a book called "China Influence" with Christine Lu. We will be shooting portraits of innovative thinkers and business leaders in China and Christine will be writing about them.
The book will be distributed free online that under a Creative Commons license as well as in other traditional formats.
From Christine Lu 's personal blog announcing the book project :
"We are collaborating on a project that’s going to show the world what Creative Commons can do to help bridge the wide gap of understanding between China and the west.
We’re going to publish a book that shares portraits, interviews and essays of people we meet who are influencing China today.
We’re going to publish it under a Creative Commons license just in time for the Shanghai 2010 World Expo ."
It will be so awesome to have the book ready for the Shanghai 2010 World Expo.
This is not the first time that we have gone to China for amazing projects! Often times our travel partner has been Robert Scales but this time we will be traveling with our new studio manager Danielle sipple . This will be our 8th time traveling out to the West and we still get excited thinking about it. In our last seven trips we have racked up quite a list of fun things that we have been involved in:

This trip will alot of fun and alot of work. We will also be attending BarCamp Shanghai while we are there (homecoming!) and the 12th Shanghai International Film Festival . We will be in China for over ten days during June 11-22 but our schedule will have some available spots if you are interested in booking us for an awesome event or photoshoot!
