Road-Trippin To South By Southwest With a Band of Merry Media-Making Scallywags

Posted Mar 09, 2011 by kk

What's a better way to trek all the way from Vancouver to Austin for SXSW then in one of the coolest road vehicles around? There are none when you are traveling in the Jones Soda RV. Static Photography photographer Kris Krüg and studio manager Danielle Sipple are joined by the likes of other creative scalawags in a road adventure that packs a punch.

It's only the first day but the journey is already a wild one! Starting in Phoenix, Arizona the RV had a morning brawl with MMA fighter Ryan Bader, had a quick stop in Tombstone for a rad history lesson, continued on to some authentic BBQ and is currently heading on to El Paso, Texas before turning off its engine for the night.

Who knows what the second day of this adventure will have in store for the roadtrippers (which include Melissa Pierce, Roger Kean, Rachel Frederick, Mike Spear, Todd Martini and Andrew Baumann) of the Jones Soda RV? Whatever it is - Kris will be there to document it all in vivid colors.

Here are some photo highlights from the first day on the road - Enjoy!

I am interested in the SXSW

I am interested in the SXSW for it being often the place for new product launches, band debuts and film premieres with often the reception in technology specifically tending to early adopter trends. I am extremely glad to see them in their full action there.

This is such a great looking

This is such a great looking site, I will bookmark it and come back when I have more time. The photos deserve a good look. I particularly like the effect of the pictures with a black background.

The greatest picture of them

The greatest picture of them all, in my opinion, is the one with the cowboy eating the ice cream while riding. The title itself made me laugh out loud. Also, "the only hippy" from Tombstone seems very happy to just be there in his vehicle, which reminds me of a neat car I saw on www.partsgeek.com once.

Ryan Bader is a very good

Ryan Bader is a very good looking man, I think that's why Fiercekitty was crying in that picture. I would have done the same thing, too, had I not given my RV for sale and got to his gym. I do believe I'll buy a new car sooner than I thought, though.
