How could Static Photography say no when asked to participate in the first annual ReThink Hawaii conference in stunning Waikiki. Three days full of geeks on a island, discussing topics such as business, technology and sustainability made ReThink: Hawaii the perfect working vacation destination for all of the hard-working participants who attended. Kris Krüg had his camera in hand and a lei around his neck the entire week, all the while capturing the rad events of this awesome conference.

Kris Krug Photographs Pop!Tech 2008 and Social Innovation Fellowship Program
The month of October brought us Thanksgiving, Halloween, and Pop!Tech . Late every October 500+ thinkers from the science, technology, business, design, education, government, arts and culture fields come together for a three day conference in Camden, Maine. Pop!Tech isn't your everyday stuffy business meeting, guests are treated to a relaxed and informal atmosphere where there is no hierarchy of position; Activists beside Capitalists, educators beside students. Over the three days Pop!Tech examines the major trends shaping the future, analyzes the social impacts of new technology, and looks for new approaches to addressing the worlds most significant challenges.
